Working together towards a future filled with possibility.
About the CASL Fellowship: Mobile
Dream it. - How we got here
The Community and School-Based Leadership Fellowship: Mobile was created in 2022 by Teach For America Alabama in partnership with Mobile stakeholders to recruit exceptional education leaders to Mobile. These stakeholders included the Mobile Chamber of Commerce, Mayor’s Office, Community Foundation, School District Personnel, area alumni, donors, and more. Fellows are committed to living in Mobile to work in our partner schools for a minimum of 3 years with the goal of transforming student outcomes alongside the community. We believe this local coalition has the potential to ensure a future full of possibility for Mobile's students!
Grow it. - Who we are recruiting
This Fellowship is designed for TFA Alumni who are willing to commit to working in coalition with their school and community to develop their practice, build their context, and ultimately transform outcomes for students. Fellows must be willing to work full time in a partner school and actively participate in ongoing professional development while living in Mobile for a minimum of 2 years.

Design it. - How we are developing
All learning will be grounded in Teach For America’s Theory of Leadership for Systems Change framework. Once accepted, Fellows will be set up with interviews at our partner schools. Once working in the schools, they will participate in regular group learning experiences alongside their colleagues to build their skills and context around their community and systems that impact education. They will also regularly reflect on their practice and accelerate their impact through individualized coaching.
